Hunny Bee Beauty
Hunny Bee Beauty is a local Baltimore skincare business located in Druid Hill. I connected with business owner Rosalyn Jefferson through my partnership with Force for Local. They are a organization helping to connect local Baltimore businesses impacted by COVID with local creatives
to help give a boost through art and design. The need for Hunny Bee Beauty was a complete
refresh and rebranding of their image. Due to the time constraint we decided time would be
best spent on a logo.
Business owner, Rosalyn, was interested in a logo that can also be beautiful enough to stand alone. One example she needed the logo to do so is on a face mask. She is hoping to get face masks made so clients can leave with a clean fresh mask on. This is very important to keep clients feeling refreshed and clean especially right after leaving her office. Rosalyn was also excited to have potential marketing by people wearing a branded mask while out and about.
Small peek at the extensive interviewing and research I like to do of a new client. I want to be sure
to learn as much as possible of my client's personality, goals and aesthetic preferences before
I begin designing.
Exploring styles and lettering lockups.
Making fine adjustments and tweaks to the final lettering lock-up. The client requested to see what the logo would look like within a circle. It was something she had seen others in her industry have in their logo and liked it as well. I gave her a sample of the request but went a step above and outlined the logo into a honey comb shape. This decision was to help her stand out from the rest of the logos within this style while keeping the aesthetics requested by the client.
